Responsibilities:
This is an administrative position providing office management and support services to the Healthy Start staff and to individuals and/or families participating in the Healthy Start Program.
This position is supervised by a Registered Nurse Supervisor.
Assists the Healthy Start staff with office and case management services.
Such activities may include, but are not limited to:
Maintains office space and supplies, Accesses Well Florida System for Healthy Start prenatal and infant clients, Initiates cases on referred clients, Provide services to client by face to face and/or home visit encounters, phone calls or web conferencing, Sends open and closure letters to clients and their providers, Maintains copies of patient education materials, Maintain files, Assists Healthy Start care coordination staff with community class preparation, Tracks with providers for client access to appointments and services, Maintains/updates client files and the Individualized Plan of Care (IPC), Enters data according to Healthy Start Standards and Guidelines, Acts as a translator for Spanish speaking clients or potential clients.
Performs other related duties to include, but not limited to:
Maintains a collaborative working relationship with other agencies in the county to facilitate meeting client needs and minimize duplication of services, Assists Healthy Start Supervisor with quality improvement/quality assurance as needed, attends staff meetings, Attends trainings as required.
Attends trainings to enhance knowledge, skills and abilities as they relate to duties and responsibilities.
Maintains professional development through job-related lectures, seminars, online trainings, teleconferences, etc.
Employee is responsible for ensuring his/her EARs and/or CSRs are input and verified in the HMS system in accordance with DOH/HMS guidelines and deadlines.
Ensures EARs time is always in agreement with timesheet.
Responsible for securing the designated information sets for the purpose of protecting confidentiality, data integrity, and appropriate access for all information, both confidential and public record, that is stored in hard copy or electronic format.
Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:
Computer skills and knowledge of computer systems, including Word and Excel.
Knowledge of principles and techniques of effective communication.
Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with others.
Valid driver's license.
Working hours:

40 Incumbent may be required to work during or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic computer entry, organizational skills, communication skills verbal and written, bilingual English and Spanish.
